Images on this page are of individual levels or layers of the large cube.

The colour of each small cube is assigned from counting round the colour wheel by the number that the Fibonacci sequence determines. A feature of the sequence is that it is maintained in 2 dimensions, both horizontally and vertically. It remains in the third also, but this can only be seen by comparing multiple levels.

Although the large cube has 42 layers in total, only 13 are shown, as most repeat, either exactly at other levels, or with negative (complementary) changes in colour values.

Each level is shown 4 times, firstly in full colour and then, in order to accentuate the patterns, in blue, green and red filtered forms.
